DC Connect: How to Login to Durham College LMS

DC Connect is an online learning management system introduced by Durham College to support the learning and education of students. The Durham College LMS provides a virtual online space where the students can learn and access resources or materials that would help them in their respective studies.

Some of the prevailing features available on the Virtual Learning Environment are quizzes, teaching materials, submission of assignments given by your tutor, access to communication and feedback, checking grades, and more. You will also be able to view the calendar for each course to help manage your schedule and time as regards your assignments and tests.

What makes DC Connect special is it can be accessed anytime and any day because it is a website. Therefore, whether you are in or off-campus, your connection is assured provided you are with a supported internet device.

  1. To access the Durham College DC Connect LMS, visit durhamcollege.desire2learn.com
  2. Enter your student number.
  3. Provide your network password.
  4. Click Sign in to access your account.

How to get a student number?

Your student number is assigned when you apply for any of the courses at the college. The number is your academic student number and will only be yours for life. Endeavor to keep it in a safe and easily accessible place as you might need it anytime.

If you are a new student and you are yet to pick a DC course, you can get it by proceeding with your online registration. Once completed, a Durham College student number will be generated for you.

The student number assigned to you can be used for course registration and other college activities. Still, if you have been provided a student number but can’t remember it, call the Continuing Education office at 905.721.3052.

How to access course on DC Connect

1. Navigate to DC Connect Login Page and proceed with your Durham College student number and password.

2. Go to “My Courses”

3. From the page, you can view the available courses.

4. Choose the course name you want to access.

Note: Access to your courses won’t be granted until the start date. If you register after the start date, you will need to wait for at least 2 business days before you will be able to access your courses.

It is advisable for students to avoid using Internet Explorer as it no longer supports the system. However, internet browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Chrome have been tested to run DC Connect efficiently.

What is MyDC?

MyDC is a web-based portal for Durham College students to access campus resources and information. It is formerly known as MyCampus. Within the MyDC environment, you will be able to access your DC mail account, Self Service options, DC Connect, important dates and deadlines, Announcements, Resources, and other Helpful links.

With the platform, students are no longer required to remember their respective domain names, instead, you have the convenience of authenticating from MyDC for access to multiple applications or websites fully allowed by the school.

At first look, it is easy to assume that the MyDC is built only for full-time day students, however, Part-time and Centre for Professional students also have lots of features tailored just for them. Some of the features are checking grades, requesting transcripts, and printing your tuition tax receipt.

1. To log into MyDC, visit durhamcollege.ca/mydc from your web browser.

2. Click “Self Service Log In”

3. Enter your mycampus username which is the same as your student identification number.

4. Now, provide your password.

5. Click “Sign in” to access MyDC.
