Katsina State is a northwestern state in Nigeria. It is made up of 34 Local Government Areas (LGA). It officially became a state in the country on 23 September 1987.
The state capital is also Katsina which is also one of the places with robust market activities. Katsina City and another LGA, Daura are often credited to be “ancient seats of Islamic culture and learning” in the country. The nickname of the state is `”Home of Hospitality”.
