The Nagoya University of Commerce and Business – NUCB- is a private university in Nisshin, Japan. It was founded in March 1935 by Dr. Yuichi Kurimoto (the first Japanese man to graduate from a university – the University of Alberta) but obtained its university status in 1953.
NUCB is the pioneer tertiary educational institution in Japan, an all-English speaking institution that values active participation among its students. It has up-to-date sports and learning facilities with a well-structured study curriculum.
The national university of commerce and business is a very large school, home to about 4,000 students (national and international students) and about 45 faculties as of November 2021.
They offer approximately seven university scholarships to their students to help support them financially during their stay at school.
The NUCB Housing scholarship is among the seven (7) available scholarships provided to college undergraduate students.
It is a housing scholarship that is awarded to five deserving students based on merits and performance. The NUCB housing scholarship values ¥10,000 – ¥40,000, which would be paid monthly to selected students for their housing expenses throughout their stay – usually four years. The scholarship opens annually.
NUCB Housing Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business housing scholarship, you must have met the following requirements to the letter:
- You must have graduated high school or will soon be graduating high school or secondary school.
Only students who have just finished high school or have just recently obtained their diploma can apply for this scholarship.

- PTE -50

- After the online application is submitted, you will submit the following required documents to the university directly:

Can I still get to keep the scholarship if my GPA drops?
To continue to benefit from this scholarship, you must maintain a certain CGPA; if not, you may no longer be deemed worthy to benefit from the scholarship.
