You will need to provide at least one of the following documents: Driver’s License, Nigerian International passport, Old National ID Card, Voter’s card (Temporary or Permanent), Certificate of Origin, Birth certificate, Attestation letter from a prominent ruler in your community, Declaration of age, etc. before you can register for NIN.
For minors, they will be accompanied by their parent or guardian. The guardian/parent will need to provide his or her NIN slip and with any of the minor’s testimonial, and original birth certificate.
Upon satisfaction, the NIMC official will register your details into the NIN database. After the registration, you will be given a transaction id slip. This will be used to collect your NIN slip. The NIN slip should be ready in 2 to 7 days.

- If you have forgotten your NIN number, dial *346# from the phone number you used during your NIN registration.
